- From : I
bought a Tillandsia stricta 'Piniformis' from Lydia Kohres in 1995. It has just flowered
and has me intrigued. It isn't T. stricta. It isn't an albino T. stricta. It is almost T.
minasgeraisensis but for the colour of the floral bract. The floral bracts seem totally
lepidote. The sepals have a few large trichomes.Perhaps T. pohliana!
- From Eric Gouda (20 Feb 2001): It does look different than
the T.minasgeraisensis ined. from Renate, but also very close to T.pohliana. The T.stricta
'Piniformis' has some of the characters of T.recurvifolia, but al least glabrous bracts
(except the apex).
- From Renate Ehlers (27 Feb 2001): I sent an message to Lydia that she looks at Gouda's
Website. I had a look at the moment and it looks much like T. minasgeraisensis, though the
colour of the floral bracts is not coral-red as it should be. T. pohliana has theese
colourless green-yellow bracts. Did I send you the description of minasgeraisensis? It
will be published soon in Brasil as they told us.
