From: Eric Gouda(30 Mar 2004 ): a new species close to Tillandsia didisticha, it is not
known where it has been collected. It was grown for many years at a Cactus
nursery and is probably from the Andes

Your plant looks very much like those I have seen and collected in southern
Bolivia. The smooth and glabrous flower bracts and the appressed indument of
the leaves are distinctive.
