Bromelia ?antiacantha
Locality: Origin of plant unknown.
Photographer: Doug Binns
Note: In cultivation in Australia. Bought as B. antiacantha, but differs from description of that species in S&D, in having sessile, not petiolate, flowers and longer sepals (15-20 mm) which are fleshy, not submembranaceous; my specimen may also be a smaller plant, the leaves are about 1.3 m long. In S&D, it keys to B. laciniosa, although that probably doesn't mean much since the alternate in couplet 6, and B. antiacantha, are both missing from my copy.
