  • Identification (5360): HEL (2010-01-05) =Vriesea cf gruberi - I had IDed it ass V.o. also but it really didnt fit either var; also far distant distribution. (Sent: brom-l@nic.surfnet.nl)
  • Addit.Note (5360): IGNACIO MORENO (2010-01-07) - This is the VRIESEA which had been identified as OLMOSIANA some time ago when published at CHARLES DILLS web site, and it is quite different than the VR. gruberi which has variegated wide leaves and yellow inflorescence
    Pls. advise
  • Identification (5360): IGNACIO MORENO (2011-01-12) =VRIESEA olmosiana - Are we sure about the ID indicated?
I understood that all GRUBERI ID's originated in MR GRUBERI findings, but I have never seen this one in his medium hight nursery in Colombia, as this species is a HIGH ALTITUDE one (Sent: brom-l@science.uu.nl)
  • Identification (5360): HEL (2011-01-17) =Vriesea gruberi - Vriesea gruberi R.Ehlers, do not confuse with v. ospinae var. gruberi. (Sent: brom-l@science.uu.nl)
  • Addit.Note (5360): Franz-Georg Gruber (2011-07-11) - Correct Locality: La Union near to Choachi, Cundinamarca, between 1.200 and 1.800 mts (Sent: brom-l@science.uu.nl)
  • Addit.Note (5360): Diego Benavides (2012-08-30) - Locality: I found this one in Bogotá at 2600m, specifically in the trees of the Andes University (Sent: brom-l@science.uu.nl)
  • Addit.Note (10418): Diego Benavides (2012-09-22) - The last three photos were taken by me in the Andes University (Sent: brom-l@science.uu.nl)
