Tillandsia kauffmannii
(Uploaded as: Tillandsia spec. Peru (BOE01904))
Locality: Peru - Chota
Photographer: Andreas Boeker
Note: This plant came originally from Karel Knize. The only information was "Peru / Chota" I got the plants from a nursery and the plants were allover green, the leaves spreading. I'm cultivating this plants more than a year and the habits of the plant changeg totally. The leaves are gray, silver, adpressed lepidote, forming an upright rosette. I don't know if this change is good or bad, if it is a development away from natural habitus or to natural habits. Please regard this change when you try to find out what it is. The flowers do not open! (Sent: brom-l@science.uu.nl)
