cv. of smithiorum X maidifolia - (Other cv. = 'Verdia Lowe') - Smith said, "Clumper - leaves oblanceolate, acuminate 80 X 45 cm w/6-10 leaves - entire except for petioles - rhachis 80 cm - spike may have 0 to 3 branches - 32 cm x 4 cm diameter - bracts coral - loosely involucre - flowers 1/2 exserted - yellow petals - most resembles the smithiorum parent but softer in texture and coral instead of bright orange".
