Import circa 1979 (ex U.S.A?) as V. hieroglyphica. Raised and named by Ross Smith, Tea Gardens (Hunter District), N.S.W. AU. Spotted floral bracts and distichous dark-tipped flowers suggest V. fosteriana is other parent. To 1 metre diameter x 1-1/2 metres tall in spike. Reg. Doc. 2/2010.
