Note: Mertensia alpina is not as common as M. viridis in this area of Summit County. It stands about 8 to 10 inches in bloom and blooms in late June to early July. Its trumpet-shaped flowers have flared petals and shorter tubes than M. viridis. (Sent: Alpineemail@example.com)
