Note: Cave Primrose, a rare species of western Colorado/eastern Utah. 5-8 inches tall; lilac with a white eye; very gray-green, toothed leaves; grows in redrock canyon seeps in wet, humusy soil in part shade; blooms in late April. Photo taken at about 4,600 feet near Moab, Grand County, Utah.
