11752 - Bromeliads (Garden) - 2014-08-31|
(Dimension: 670 x 530 pixels - Counter: 6018)
Locality: Ecuador - Loja - Yangana
Photographer: Atsushi Sato (Sent: firstname.lastname@example.org)
- Identification (11750): Jeffrey Kent (2014-09-09) =Racinaea contorta
- Did the plants in the wild have a more conspicuous bulb like base? (Sent: email@example.com)
- Note (11750): Atsushi Sato (2014-09-09) - I added another pic in which you can see the one in question (center) and Racinaea contorta (both sides). It is very hard to find decisive similarities between two species in such characters as shape, size and petal color.
R.contorta has a pseudobulb but this one does not have it under cultivation and even in the wild. (Sent: firstname.lastname@example.org)
