  • Identification (5483): HEL (2010-02-10) =no time for detailed exam. check Guzmania roezlii. (Sent: brom-l@nic.surfnet.nl)
  • Addit.Note (5483): Uncle Derek (2010-02-11) - Seems pretty good to me as a Harry quick look but then I have always relied on Guzmania having petals naked, their claws distinct from the blades and agglutinated in a tube;
    stamens equal, more or less agglutinated to the petals; (Sent: brom-l@nic.surfnet.nl)
  • Addit.Note (5486): Peter Tristram (2010-02-11) - UD/Harry Maybe you got it from me, UD! Images of what I think is G roezlii, from Peru are added. I think it is bloom again so will check. It's a toughie so no wonder it blooms in Adelaide. I don't remember submitting it though as it seemed a reasonable match. Peter
  • Addit.Note (5483): Harry Luther (2010-02-15) - Guzmania is G. monostahia and rels; this is perhaps schumbergera or somrthing like it. Guz is probably a mixed bag just like the other Tillandsioides. out the door in ca 12 hrs.Next stop:the Orient. HEL
