Locality: Ecuador, Zamora-Chinchipe Province - This was photographed on Highway 35 19 km south of Santiago at an elevation of 2600 meters.

Note: This was growing in a rich area that had remnant trees of an old forest in pastures. This plant is similar if not the same as the plant I recorded as Tillandsia polyantha? on this site earlier. It grows to about 50 cm high, so is much smaller than the previous entry that was 70 cm tall. This may look like T. confinis, but with blue flowers it is not possible.
