- Identification: Joachim Saul (2009-02-17) =Aechmea bracteata?
- Could be Aechmea bracteata.
Or is there any other Aechmea in Nicaragua with such spines? I remember seeing plants in the Matagalpa area that I thought looked like Aechmea bracteata, but as I was riding on a bus I couldn't get close enough. Wouldn't be surprized if yours is the same thing.
- Identification: Joachim Saul (2009-02-17) =Aechmea nudicaulis
- With another picture of the plant from a different perspective it clearly looks a lot more like Ae. nudicaulis. Disculpį, Ana
