(Dimension: 2030 x 1550 pixels - Counter: 1678)
Locality: Ecuador, Azuay Province - The first two pictures are NOT from Azuay Province, but was seen on our June 2015 trip. I do not have a locale for this. The remainder of the pictures are from Azuay Province on a side road west from Portete at an elevation of 3067 meters. The first plant is definitely Tillandsia clavigera (Jose Manzanares, Eric and I were together when we saw it). The other plant is believed to be T. clavigera, but I would like confirmation.
Photographer: Jerry Raack
Note: Note the pups emanating from the leaf axils and around the base.
