Locality: Ecuador - Prov. of Zamora-Chinchipe, area of Estación Cientifica San Francisco (S 03°58´, W 79°04´ ), road Loja-Zamora, ca. 35 km from Loja; moist montane forest

Note: Col.: Werner, F.A. 726 (27-12-2003) "Big, wide fucker. Common in canopy above Sabanilla but not noticed at ECSF forest. Likes it wet? Erect and branched infl. c. 1.5 m long and (in old state) superficially resembling Till. tovariensis. Leaves yellowish green with violet-red tips. Observed in flower 14.1.04: flowers cf. Guzm. large and white; 1st and 2nd degree flower stalk plus bracts on them bright red; 3rd deg. stalks with all borne parts white."
