Note: Col.: Werner, F.A. 2043 (15-06-2006) got you! Several other infertile specimens around, infl. cf. co-occurring T. fendleri. Vegetatively Guzmania-like yet unmistakable with blunt, bright green, ribbonlike soft and u-shaped leaves that heavily bent downward right after the tank-base narrows. Infl. 1.5 m tall, with long leafy bracts along lower 2/3, flower bracts pinkish, petals light purple.
